Google has already reached the completion of its new upcoming mobile operating system Android 5.0, code named “'Jelly Bean”. Google is planning to launch Tab and smartphones powered by this new Jelly Bean this year itself, probably in the spring. But this time, Google has some new strategies. It has signed up with five different manufacturers to launch devices with the new OS.
Whereas, if we remember, when they release Android 2.1 (Eclair), they choose HTC to make a smartphone Nexus One, at the time of its next release that was Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) it was Samsung to launch the device named Nexus S with this os. Later it was Motorola with the next update Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) and finally with the launch of its latest os Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), again it was Samsung to introduce the first device with this OS named Samsung Galaxy Nexus.
But this time, instead of promoting any one manufacturer with the new Jelly Bean, Google has planned to release Android 5.0 upto 5 companies to develop new ‘Nexus’ smartphones and Tablets. This clearly indicates that Google will have a large portfolio of Jelly Bean powered tablets and smartphones at launch. However, yet all five manufacturers have not been officially announced but probably HTC, Samsung and Motorola are Google's partners on Jelly Bean project who will have early access to the new code.
Now its time to find out what will be included in the next new update, Android 5.0. There is yet no information about the same but its clear that there will be not just a bunch of bug fixes and some multitasking bumps. We will need to wait for few more days to get the actual list.
