  • If you are facing problem with the installation then simply turn off your antivirus. You have to checkout all security apps installed in your system. Turn them all. And then try to install the game back. Many new antivirus offers you temporary turn off solution.

Battlefield 4 Crash while Startup or in Gameplay:

  • There are various reasons for crash. Sometime it is due to outdated driver and sometime it is due to some application or software running in the background. This application is preventing the game from launch and causing the freezing of crashing issue. So here you have to go in the startup and remove them. It is will also optimize your system performance. For removing apps from Startup follow the below steps:
    1. If you are using Windows XP then press Windows Key + R from your keyboard. You will get the run box. In the box type msconfig and click on OK. Here you have go in Startup. Choose Disable all. And then restart your pc. Try to launch the game again after this.
    2. Follow the same procedure for Windows Vista and Windows 7. You have to type msconfig in the Start Search box and went into startup. In that you can disable all unwanted programs. Turning all of them is good.
  • Drivers are one of the biggest issues. New games come with new files which require a stable and new version of system files to run. If your driver is outdated then it will not be able to handle the process and will led to crash. So just update the drivers and then test back. You can use a drive updater for that.

  • One more thing you can do is turn off the antivirus before launching the game. The antivirus sometime is not able to difference between a game file. It h appends mostly if you have Norton install on your system. This antivirus suite create problem for many games. So turn it off and then once again check back.
  • The next thing after that you have to check is the DirectX version installed in your system. You can find that by typing dxdiag in the run box. This will give you the information on the driver. You can get the latest version DirectX form here
  • To make the game more stable it is better run the game on one CPU instead of both gpus from control panel. Configure the game to use only one.

Sometime the game load but there is nothing on the screen. You can just here the audio in the background. So there are some things you can try to fix the issue.

  • Go ahead with a full driver update. Based on your motherboard model try to find the fresh drivers and install them in your pc. Then start the game back.

  • Freezing and lagging are a common issue and many people face that. FPS is very important for battle game. Low fps can give you blurry screen and it is not easy for you to locate the enemy. To fix low fps issue go in the control panel of graphic card and then turn of vsync and antialiasing.
  • Hit Alt + Tab for your keyboard and right click on the task bar. Choose Task Manager. From the process section kilt different applications one by one.
  • To get rid of fps issue avoid playing the game on triple buffering. Turn off V-3Sync software also.

Fix Battlefield 4 Blackscreen and Crashes to Desktop (CTD):

  • Blackscreen commonly appear in many games. It is one of the most common issues with all pc. It does not matter, that your system meets the entire game requirement. It might appear or the game will crash on launch. It is really annoying. To get rid of that you have to first turn of antivirus and security applications in your pc. Turn of antivirus suite like Windows Defender, other security application along with V-Sync, Anti-Aliasing and Filtering. The last three things are accessible through the gpu control panel.
  • Before taking the game launch Task Manager by pressing Ctrl + Alt + Del. Go in process and kill all the process one by one. This will free up the memory. Then go in msconfig and permanently turn off all startup programs and applications.
  • You will not face much problem if you are running the game in Administrator account. Also instead of running the game directly by double clicking on the game icon, run it from the program directory. It is located in the C drive under Program File folder. In that look for battlefield4.exe. Rightclick on that and choose run as Administrator.
  • If the game even crashes after driver update then try to run it on low settings. It happens that the video driver is unable to handle maximum resolution. You can also reduce the pressure by turning off VSync and multi-sampling.
  • If the problem still goes on then it is better to go ahead with updating the motherboard driver. Also called as chipset driver this adds more stability to the system. It is also good if you update the board bios. If you are not aware about the procedure then skip it. But today many motherboards come with automated bios update program.
  • If the game is crashing while playing it online then the Firewall is causing the issue. You have to turn it off. If you don’t want to do that then you can add the battlefiled4.exe under Firewall > Exception list.
  • The last thing you have done is remove the game and wipe out all additional files. This is a re-installation procedure. Remove the game and ten wipe out game folder, delete cache, delete the installation folder also and then try to install it back.

Fix Battlefield 4 No Sound or Sound Stuttering problems:

  • Audio problem occur due to poor sound driver. So the initial setup is to get new sound drivers which you can find from the motherboard manufacturer’s website.
  • Reducing sound acceleration is also good way to resolve the problem. You can do that through dxdiag. Press Windows + R from your keyboard and in the run box type dxdiag. In that go in the sound section and reduce sound acceleration.
  • If you have a NO Sound issue then go in Control Panel > Hardware and Sound and in that click on Sound. You have to look for Communication tab here. In that click on the last thing which says Do Nothing and then click on OK.
  • The same issue can also be fixing by settings the audio channel to stereo. For that in the same section go in Playback tab. Click on your current audio device and click on Configure. Then change the audio channel to Stereo. Exist the game and start it once again.

When you uninstall the game make sure to delete game’s installation folder and rest of the left over files. Then restart the PC and install again. Hopefully it should fix the problem.
