Sony Xperia Z4 Vs Sony Xperia Z3 Comparison

There were many rumors that Sony will launch Xperia Z4 in September but Sony surprisingly revealed Xperia Z4 in Japan on 20th April. Previously Sony launched Xperia Z3 in the Xperia Z series line-up on September 19, 2014. Here we will have a look at how Sony Xperia Z3 specifications differs from new Xperia Z4 specifications. As For now Sony Xperia Z4 has landed only in Japan. Sony Xperia Z4 has only little improvement over its predecessor Z3.

Xperia Z3 vs Xperia Z4

Operating System:

Sony Xperia Z3 was launched with Android 4.4 KitKat which is now upgradable to android Lollipop 5.0. Whereas Xperia Z4, which is the latest version of smartphone in Z series comes out with the latest version of Android OS v5.0 (Lollipop).

Display:

We will now discuss about the display, which is one of the most important aspects of a smartphone. Sony Xperia Z3 came out with 5.2 inches of display which gives resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. Sony Xperia Z4 will also come out with 5.2 inches of display which will give the same resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. In terms of display Z4 and Z3 are almost same.

Processing Power:

Xperia Z3 came out with Quad core, 2.5GHz, Krait 400 and Graphic processor of Adreno 330. Xperia Z4 will be launched with 8-core, 1.5GHz, ARM Cortex-A57 and ARM Cortex-A53, 64-bit processor ,Graphic processor of Adreno 430 and 3GB RAM. Xperia Z4 will be very fast.

Memory:

Xperia Z4 will come out with built-in storage of 32GB which is the double of 16 GB supported by Z3. Both supports expandable memory upto 128 GB. It seems that, in case of memory both Z3 and Z4 are good, but Z4 is better.

Camera:

Xperia Z4 will come out with 20.7 MP, 5248 х 3936 pixels, autofocus, LED flash rear camera and 5.1 MP, 1080p secondary camera. Z4 provides video quality of 2160p@30fps, 1080p@60fps, 720p@120fps. Xperia Z3 also has same 20.7 MP, 5248 х 3936 pixels, autofocus, LED flash rear camera. Here comes the great difference, Z3 has 2.2 MP front camera which is almost 3 megapixels less than 5.1 MP provided by Z4.

Battery:

Z4 comes out with Non-removable Li-Ion 2930 mAh battery which is less than Z3’s Non-removable Li-Ion 3100 mAh battery.
